Scary stuff!!
I haven’t been at work since December 2020, because of the COVID pandemic I was having to isolate throughout my whole pregnancy! (That was rough, but that’s a whole other story). Due to reasons I don’t wanna go into, I left my current job in a school and got offered a new job as a deputy manager for a kids club (yay!!). I wasn’t really expecting to start for a couple of weeks… until today when I was stuck in bed with a migraine when I got an email asking me to start MONDAY!!!!

Of course I agreed, they needed me and I have to make a good impression. But then, I sat earlier and thought…..
“Oh my GOD i have to leave Ivy!!!!“
I’m lucky enough that Ivy will be going to my mum’s, who she has an amazing relationship with. I definitely think that by having this sprung suddenly on me has helped my anxiety around it! I’m spending the weekend working on my TO DO LIST for returning to work! (I’ve added a copy below for anyone who needs a general to do organisation list for returning to work!)
- Ensure childcare is secure (if needed)
- Wash and dry uniform/Sort out the weeks outfits
- Tidy the house (it may be hard to keep on top of during the working week so having a fresh start is good! See my ‘freshen up’ list on my page)
- Shop for lunch bits/Plan these
